Politicians in Regard to the Flat Tax & Entitlements

Let’s face facts: as a two-party system, America is divided. When you look at the presidential elections, a divide has always been there. Heck! There is even a divide within the parties themselves. None come close to pure conservative values within our government. At this next election, I fear none will. Republicans running for office are not even close to moving this nation forward faster than it should be moving.

This has to be said about our politicians: As I have been watching the Republican candidates jockey for the lead, they are backstabbing, bickering, and are jealous. They talk less about the issues, when, in fact, much more should have been said. Is this what the American people want or need? This is just the Republican side: the side representing morals and values for our nation. What I have noticed far more than ever is that I do not even see a pure conservative candidate. America is at the point of being much more than it is. What I do see are the candidates’ issues that do not go all of the way up the pole to hit the bell, called conservatism. When it comes to two issues I have been looking at, the Republicans are looking to half-backed ideas for only a partial flat-tax system and a partial doing away with all entitlements.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that the Republican Party is not right. Their ideas will work, and they will reduce this nation’s debt (reduce, not eliminate). However, Americans deserve much better than that. Our nation will move forward only with a pure conservative candidate to fully pursue a pure flat tax with the eventual move to remove all of the waste and frivolous spending of our government. These actions do away with socialism once and for all time.

With entitlements, several of these plans will be with us for many, many years. When the American worker is back at work and welfare has shrunk down in size and scope, it will be up to all of America’s employers and insurance companies to pick up the expenses for the final removal of welfare entitlement. Companies and corporations should pick up the expenses for the people, not the government. Also, those who should help people in need are family, friends, religious groups, and nonprofit organizations. It has never been the government’s responsibility to intrude into the business of men and women.

This is making a total commitment to a true conservative platform. I see why this is happening: Republicans are afraid of losing votes, losing political monies. (See my blog article “Losing Jobs in the Marketplace.”) However, they do not see the total picture, or explain deeply that by making total commitments to both the flat tax and the eventual end of entitlements at the public level that they will be making far greater strides with this nation’s future. The performance of America toward paying off the debt would be much faster. Becoming the greatest nation ever seen upon this earth is even more profound.

Why do I say this? Because it is true.
