President Trump has lost his majority in the House of Representatives. I never counted on this happening and said in my previous blog that I was extremely optimistic. Boy was I wrong.

So what’s next? How can we MakeAmerica Great Again with a House led by Democrats? My proposed solution is federal amendments.

The American people are still the leaders of our nation. And President Trump can accomplish more by going directly to the American people than he can trying to work with the representatives that will be serving in the house starting on January 1st. Those representatives too often are serving corporations (or the far left or their own self interests) instead of the people they are supposed to be representing.

Federal amendments would allow President Trump to go around these representatives and their special interest groups, and instead let the American public vote directly on the issues that matter most. Just as states like Florida had amendments on their ballots this year, President Trump needs to fight back with Federal Amendment for all the states. Important amendments could include ones that would:

• Build the border wall
• Remove ObamaCare
• Reduce the size of government by 20%
• Lower the nation’s debt from $23 trillion
• Allow Americans to vote to increase their own paychecks and return money to the middle class

The American people need to be empowered again. Federal amendments would allow them to let the government know that these are the agendas around which we should build our future. And in addition to advancing these important causes, this would also tell the Democrats in the house that they need to vote alongside the Republican Party or else they will be ousted.

Let’s put the power back in the hands of the American people.
